
Central Venous Catheter Management (virtual)
This course will address the indications, types, and different insertion locations for a central venous catheter.
You will learn about catheter care ranging from changing the dressing to preparing the lumens for connection and disconnection to the dialysis machine.
It explains catheter complications and how to manage them, while also incorporating optimal bundles of care.
Specifications
This module is intended for:
- Starting and experienced dialysis nurses:
- Who want to gain a deeper level of knowledge about central venous catheters and how to manage them
- Who want to develop and enhance their cognitive, technical, and non-technical skills to an advanced level to lead a nursing team
- Who want to join or establish a vascular access team
The full course will last approximately 120 minutes.
