Nipro Corporation Japan has bought the Sesvete plant (former Piramida) from Blue Sea Capital, which was recently awarded and recognized as the most successful acquisition of 2021. Nipro has meanwhile proven it is the right partner to further the continued success and growth of this plant.
In the presence of the Japanese Ambassador to Croatia, his Excellency Iso Masato, alongside the managing director of Nipro PharmaPackaging Hrvatska, Kresimir Secak, the international management of Nipro, led by Mr Yamazaki (Managing Director Global Business Division), Mr Yogo (Chief Financial Officer), Mr Iwasa, heading the Pharmapackaging division, and Mr Stephan Arnold (CEO of Nipro PharmaPackaging International), the investment was officially made public as they inaugurated a new factory that will produce glass ampoules and vials to package life-saving drugs.
As a Japanese multinational company, Nipro’s investment in Sesvete is important as it also indicates economic and political confidence, and trust in continued good relations between Croatia and Japan.

The ceremonial presentation of the investment was completed in the traditional Japanese Kagami biraki style, which includes the ceremonial opening of a sake barrel, and it is a symbolic gesture of christening the new production facility, similar to the tradition of breaking a champagne bottle at the launch of a ship.

Nipro wants to thank all stakeholders who contributed greatly to the current success of Nipro PharmaPackaging Croatia and looks forward to an even more promising future.
