Vial and syringe

Siliconized vials of Nipro PharmaPackaging India provide lower drug residual volumes compared to non-siliconized vials.

Recently, an in-house study1 was conducted using a test method recognized in the industry. The results show a very significant impact on the drug residual volume of siliconized vials compared to non-siliconized vials. The additional silicone layer, with its hydrophobic properties, prevents high viscosity drugs from sticking to the internal glass surface which leads to less drug residuals. Thus, the test solution left over in siliconized vials is considerably less than in non-siliconized vials.

Vials with a lower drug residual volume offer a substantial benefit. Depending on the degree of reduction, pharmaceutical companies will be able to reduce the overfill of vials. In addition to cost reduction, this also allows an additional number of vials to be filled with the valuable medication that is saved, making each drop count.

“We are proud to manufacture siliconized vials that contribute to saving valuable drug products, and make every drop count!”
